1921. Washington DC. Lex Luthor is elected president and promises a return to a strong, prosperous America where the average human doesn’t have to live in fear of the creatures of myth and legend. S.H.I.E.L.D has been created to deal with the metahuman problem, where ordinary people have developed extraordinary abilities. Formed after the Great War the League of Justice tries to keep the world peaceful, even the xenophobic nations of Atlantis and Themyscira. Profession Xavier and Magneto each have their philosophy of how metahumans and humans should live; one runs a school and the other trains his people in terrorist like actions. Rumors abound of a group known as the Outsiders, but what and who they are remains unknown. Gods of various pantheons walk among humanity, once more to meddle and drive human affairs.
