[/i] Rules[/i] Of[/i] The[/i] Compound[/i]
The
001. The hybrids that live within the Nova Compound do not have any form of currency. They base all of their negotiations off of trade. If one wants to obtain a book, they might trade a pair of shoes to get it. All of this is done at the picnic tables, and only on certain days. Each trading day is supervised by the older hybrids, and any issues are brought to them.
002. There is no official leader of the hybrids. Instead, the hybrids that are older than thirty are regarded as the authority. They can dole out punishments or make important decisions, but they usually group together when things effect the whole compound. Then they vote.
003. Every Sunday, the hybrids gather around the fire pit. They do many things there throughout the day, including friendly competitions, have food preparing contests, and even some entertainment. When the sun begins to set, they light the fire and take volunteers to tell scary stories.
004. Recently, more and more hybrids have been trying to contact the humans on the other side of the fence. Normally, that would have been forbidden, but since Polovie's unexplained death, nobody follows that rule. Some believe that it is the only way to get them released from the compound.
005. Though nobody has a set job, things still need to get done. The young hybrids are usually tended to by the older hybrids that are over 20 years old. It is expected that the teenage hybrids keep the vegetable garden in good condition, as well as making sure their homes are clean. It is severely frowned upon to litter or leave anything out for others to clean up.[/blockquote][/justify][/blockquote]
